Andrew Cofield

Digital Media Student

When I was just out of high school, I dreamt of producing photographs and graphic designs that would be featured in advertising campaigns around the world. I was well on my way to that goal, studying photography at Southern Illinois University, when my priorities changed. I received the unexpected blessing of a wonderful family, and I left my senior year of school to find a job. An employer from high school remembered me as a hard worker, and offered to train me for a job as a jeweler. I held that job for nearly ten years. The job was a good one, and I was well respected among my peers. When the company I worked for went out of business, I saw a chance to return to school, update my skills, and resurrect my dreams. I completed a two-year program in Digital Media Communication, which stresses technical skills in print, web, and video media production.

Now, I am a student at Illinois State University, majoring in Mass Communication following their interactive media sequence of coursework.

Today, I have more passion for visual communication than ever.
